In the quiet moments of reflection, we find ourselves grappling with the profound loss of our dear Brother Rhett Story Ingram. Rhett was not only a respected member of Helion Lodge #1 but also a veteran whose service to our country will forever be remembered. His untimely passing last month has left a void in our hearts and our community.

In remembrance of Brother Rhett and in acknowledgment of the challenges faced by veterans and individuals battling mental health issues, Helion Lodge has pledged its support to the University of Alabama in Huntsville’s suicide prevention walk charity event, “Hope Walks Here.”

As we strive to honor Rhett’s memory, we have set an ambitious fundraising goal of $1000 to contribute to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Every dollar raised will go towards vital programs and resources aimed at preventing suicide and providing support to those in need.

We extend a heartfelt invitation to all members of our Masonic family, our friends, and our community to stand with us in solidarity. Mark your calendars for April 7th, 2024, as we come together at the UAH Campus in Huntsville, AL, for the “Hope Walks Here” event. Onsite registration will begin at 1:00 pm, followed by the walk program starting at 2:00 pm. Let us walk not only in memory of Brother Rhett Story Ingram but also in support of all those who have been affected by suicide.
